My family and I (five altogether) have just returned from a simply FABULOUS week at Lyn’s Cyprus Harbour View Villa in Kyrenia. The villa was so beautiful, it even exceeded our expectations from the website photos - which were already very high!

The building itself is spacious, airy, comfortably large (but not too huge), with extensive grounds around it incorporating flower-filled terraces with ample outdoor furniture, a private back garden ideal for hanging out washing and hiding away (if the need arises …) and a swimming pool easily big enough for four of us to swim in. (The fifth one preferred relaxing in the large, very pleasant living room with books, TV and peace and quiet!) 

The villa is situated on a quiet residential street, fairly high up in the hills and therefore with great views. If you’re into hefty walking, it takes just under an hour to get into central Kyrenia on foot (my daughter and I did it!), or for the lazy ones (i.e. the majority of people) it’s just 9 or 10 minutes by car. 

Quite apart from the beauty and comfort of the villa itself (did I also mention how spotless it was, and how well-equipped with just about everything? It truly was!), we were also blown away by Muzo – the person who Lyn liaises with in order to help arrange whatever is needed, eg. car hire, taxi pick-up from Larnaka, refilling the water tank if necessary, etc. Muzo speaks great English and became a real friend by the end of the week!

Finally, Lyn himself, the lucky owner of this wonderful Mediterranean villa, was superb. He provided welcome snacks for us when we arrived, phoned me to make sure that everything was all right on our first evening (it was) and always replied very promptly to emails or WhatsApp contact.

Truly, I can’t recommend this place enough, and feel downright envious of whoever is going there next!
