Getting to Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus
You can fly and transfer just as easily from ERAN (also known as Lefkosa or Nicosia) in the North. Flights stop in Turkey for 30 minutes but you stay on the plane.
OR
You can fly and transfer from LARNACA and PAPHOS in the South. Total travel time (flight and transfer) is similar. You can mix and match carriers so shop around to get the best deal.
Ercan/Lefkosa/Nicosia (all same airport) – ½ hour transfer
Larnaca – 1¼ hours transfer
Paphos – 2 hour transfer and more expensive. Not recommended as transfers can be hard to book.
Airports
UK to Southern Cyprus LARNACA Airport
This can be a cheaper option as there can be more discount available. Larnaca is just over an hour’s drive to our properties in Kyrenia.
Pick up and return from Larnaca. Crossing the border is easy. You need to fill in a form with name, nationality and passport number. The taxi driver provides these forms and will take your passport to the border kiosk to get the form stamped.
UK to Northern Cyprus to ERCAN Airport
When searching you need to look out for Ercan, Lefkosa or Nicosia in the airport name slot. Transfer to the Villa or Penthouse is 25 mins drive to Kyrenia.
All flights to the North (Ercan) always set down in Turkey to take on & drop passengers. Usually, you do not need to get off the plane. BUT you can use this as a stopover e.g. to explore Istanbul with Pegasus. I can get a good rate in the Arcadia Hotel overlooking the Blue Mosque, 10 mins to the Grand Bazaar
Transfers and Car Hire
We can arrange transfers for your holiday in good quality limousines with drivers who know where to take you. We can also arrange car hire.
Transfer
Larnaca transfer at £120 for the return journey for four people and £150 return for 6 people.
Paphos transfer price on application, check with me before you book this flight.
Ercan transfer at £45 for the return journey for four people and £60 return for 6 people. If you rent your car from our agent for 14 days he will provide free transfer from Ercan
Car Hire
Our agent Sadik runs a dependable car hire company.
Currently, he charges £25 per day. Please note this is fully inclusive of multiple drivers, all insurance add-ons and CDW, there is no excess if you damage the car and you will not need to pay any more than this per day.
Arrival day - Saturday
Our normal changeover day is Saturday. This is only flexible off-season. If your best flights are on other days we can arrange overnight with breakfast at the Mountain View Hotel for £50 per double/twin room or the Altinkaya Hotel at £70 per double/twin room.
Our agent in Cyprus
Our agent Sadik Tüccaroglu (pronounced Two Jar O Low) looks after the villa and penthouse. He also owns Dollar Car Hire and handles airport transfers. He will help to sort out any problems. He is a local businessman with excellent English and he is very helpful.

My family has been running self catering holiday homes in the Giants Causeway Coast line and Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus for over 15 years. These are our holiday homes that we use for ourselves as we enjoy both locations immensely. Because of this they are equipped more like home then as a rental property.
